Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden

We and an opportunity to travel to Texas a couple of weeks ago to visit our kiddos. As we left Vancouver, we covered our plants to make sure they wouldn’t freeze while we were gone. Arriving in Dallas was like stepping directly into Spring!

Our kids treated us to a day at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden and it was in spectacular form. Spring blooms everywhere!

The Arboretum has over 66 acres of beautifully manicured gardens, water features, pools, pathways, picnic areas…and…

…a children’s adventure garden.

You can follow interesting stone pathways through the gardens…

…that lead you past giant flower pots…

..rambling water ways,

…a waterfall that you can walk under…

…and a stunning koi pond.

The spring bulbs had finished booming but the azaleas, wisteria, and roses were already showing off their colors.

Wandering through the sprawling grounds of the botanical garden, I found endless inspiration for my own small garden.

Whether you're a seasoned botany enthusiast or simply seeking a moment of respite, I highly recommend visiting the arboretum if you find yourself in Dallas!
